I was living as a Homeless Woman in Portland, Oregon from 2011 to 2015. I lived in and out three different shelters for Women that were open at that time for 3 years and then 2 years of actually living on the streets of downtown Portland. But while I was homeless I decided to make yet another major change. I decided to go get a college education to help me better my life and get out of that situation. That is what I did.
